Clare Sharp

A leader with extensive expertise from EYFS to Year 13 and beyond reaching into Further Education in England.

My Story

Clare’s education experience and expertise is extensive, ranging from EYFS to Year 13 and beyond reaching into Further Education in England. Clare has worked in International Schools including Middle East, South East Asia, Africa and Europe.  She now holds various roles including training and development, strategic development, mentoring and coaching working with DfE funded organisations and privately funded educational training programmes.

As a leader within schools, she has held Principal and Executive Principal roles leading National Curriculum, IB Curriculum and American Core Standard school curriculums and frameworks. Clare has also held the role of Founding Principal and has led the successful opening of two founding schools. Her experience includes working within established large-scale school setting as well as new schools. Alongside these roles Clare is an evaluator with the Council of International Schools and has lead schools through CIS/NEASC joint accreditations. She is also an accreditor with Cognita (previously known as Advanced Ed).

Clare understands the highly competitive market of International Education and has developed policy and practices to support schools to be the school of choice including managing risks and expectations of Boards and Sole/Joint ownership. She has worked with Governing Bodies to develop their skills around challenge and support.

In addition, Clare is an active Trustee for a highly regarded Academy Consortium in the North of England and is also a Trustee of an International Charity supporting children and young people’s mental health through education.

With a wide range of expertise and a clear passion for education, Clare is able to support the delivery of school’s vision as a highly regarded, forward-thinking leader and facilitator.
